During the months of June and July, we conducted our very first Glu Research study to learn more about the relationship between duration of infusion set use and blood glucose (BG) levels. For our infusion set study, a total of 325 insulin pump users enrolled, of which 222 (68%) completed all 14-days of data collection. A big thank you to all of the study participants!
The insulin pump most commonly used in study participants was the Medtronic MiniMed (186, 57) and the most commonly used insulin was Novolog (Aspart). The majority of study participants changed their infusion set every 3 days (n=214, 66%). Although we are still working on tabulating the rest of the results from the study, in the meantime, we wanted to share some findings on infusion sets that we learned through our question of the day.
