There are many things to consider in pregnancy with type 1 diabetes (T1D). What we have learned through Glu is that there is a lack of published literature about how pregnancy has been managed in the past. We hope to remedy this.
Based on the level of interest around pregnancy with type 1 diabetes, from previous studies, we are launching another survey. Our new survey proposes to focus on challenges experienced by women with T1D across stages of pregnancy. Specifically, we aim to study health outcomes, preconceptions measures, and use of technology, pregnancy management and the patient’s perspective throughout the pregnancy.
Once the results are analyzed, we intend to submit the manuscript for publication, and share the importance of these issues with the larger T1D community.
Women who were diagnosed with type 1 diabetes prior to becoming pregnant and:
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Have given birth in the last 10 years
Thank you for taking the time to take the survey—your voice is invaluable in helping us assess the needs of people with type 1 diabetes!
